Energy Labelling & MEPS

It is mandatory for a number of electrical products for sale in Australia to carry an approved energy label. Some of these products include household refrigerators and freezers, clothes washers, clothes dryers, dishwashers, air conditioners, televisions and swimming pool pumps.

A number of products are also regulated on the basis of Minimum Energy Performance Standards (MEPS).
